I was born in Pennsylvania, where my dad was pastoring a struggling church at the behest of what was then known as the Home Mission Board (now NAMB). My parents were always faithful in teaching us about the holiness of God, our sin that separates us from Him, and the good news of reconciliation that is found through Jesus Christ. This faith became my own at an early age when I believed in Jesus as my Savior. Study of the Scriptures has always been important to me, but it began to intensify in my early college days. As I delved deeper into the infallible Word of God, I began to see more and more how amazing the grace of God is and that it is grace alone which saves us, through faith in Christ alone. The end result of this is that all glory goes to God. This is not discovered through intuition or through philosophy but is revealed to us in Scripture, which is our sole authority in faith and life.

At first, I wanted to work towards becoming a seminary professor. At some point, however, I decided that there is a thirst for the Word of God among His people, and that all of His people need to know Him better and not just seminarians. I finally submitted to the leading of the Spirit to preach and have found it to be very rewarding. During this period, my first wife unexpectedly left me, refusing all efforts at reconciliation. Besides being the most painful time of my life, this caused me great confusion regarding my call. However, after taking much counsel with my pastor, Jason Hilliard, as well as with other godly folk, I am confident that preaching is the path for me.

God brought a godly woman who desires to serve Him into my life. My ashes were turned into beauty as I gained a wife and a son. My desire is to pastor a congregation of God’s people by bringing them to the God of the Scriptures and Jesus Christ, the true shepherd of souls. Then, by the Holy Spirit’s power, they will be fed and nurtured, in order to march forth as His kingdom expands.
